William A. Reinke, 72, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Western Reserve Masonic Community, after a brief illness. He was born November 4, 1939 to the late Julius and Ella Reinke in Hinckley, where he resided most of his life.

William “Bill” was a family man that enjoyed life and will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. He served in the United States Air Force 52nd Fighter Group stationed in Turkey from 1961-1965. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and visiting with his family and friends at Caddyshack, where he frequented often. He was a roofer and carpenter by trade and worked for Hans Laugeson Builders for over 30 years.

Bill brought a smile to everyone’s face he would meet and was a friend to all who knew him. He was a man with great character and children loved him. He would make them laugh and pick on them but was a favorite uncle of many. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren; frequently going to their sporting events and school activities. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Heidi (Dave) Hodges of Homerville, Michelle (Greg Ferguson) Wolfe of Creston; beloved grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Johnson, Tanya Hodges (fiance Kevin Jackson), Robin Hodges (Randy Pierpoint), Lawrence, Lindsay, Lacey and Lucas Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Austin Johnson and Kaelynn Jackson; sisters, Janet Waugaman of Brunswick, Karen (Tim) Ingrahm of Cinnamon Lake, Beverly (Gene) Schwarzman of Hinckley, Faith (Merill) Meyer of Lodi and Mary Strickland of Florida; sisters-in-law, Mary Reinke of Florida, Beverly Kirk and Sharon Honaker; beloved nephews and nieces and Pat Deaderick’s daughters, Vicky Gessner, twins Dawn (Brian) McCalle and Diane Burns and their children Ashely, Valerie, Sydney and Samantha; and his pals at Caddyshack whom he enjoyed socializing with.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Maureen Mitchell; and long time companion, Patricia Deaderick; sisters, Barbara Ann Reinke and Joyce Saki; brothers, James, Donald, David, Dennis and Allen; brothers-in-law, Tom Saki and James (Beverly) Waugaman; and sisters-in-law, Charlene Reinke and Florence Reinke.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road. Service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Campo officiating. Burial with honors will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
