Ronald R. Marks

Ronald R. Marks, 80, died Monday, April 29, 2013. He was born August 13, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia, to the late Dorsey and Sylvia Marks.

A longtime area resident, he was an active member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church in Creston. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he received a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars among others. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, was an avid boxer, and helped to serve countless in area nursing homes.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Rosalie; and brothers, Denzel, Albert, and Grover; he is survived by his wife, Agnes; children, Larry (Cindy Hall) Marks of Brookpark, Ronald (Carolyn) of Seville and Linda (Wayne) Mueller of Seville; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gene (Sue) of Middleburg Heights.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., in Wadsworth, and Friday, May 3, 2013 from 10 to 11 A.M. at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, 12723 Cleveland Rd., in Creston, where Rev. McComas will conduct funeral service at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Rittman Cemetery with full military honors.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.
