Andrew Robert Straub, 74, of Brunswick, passed away after a long illness at Hospice of Medina County , hursday, January 24, 2013. He was born February 5, 1938, to the late Andrew G. and Margaret (nee Jewel) Straub in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Andrew was a member of the Brunswick Eagles and St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Besides his family, his true loves included golfing, watching the Browns, Notre Dame Football and Indians games and bowling. Andrew retired, after 39 years, from Ford Motor Company, as a Supervisor.
He leaves to mourn his loving children, Christine (Craig) Teeter of Cuyahoga Falls, Cheryl (Cleatus) Varney of Litchfield, Craig Straub of Brunswick, Chad (Kelly) Straub of Chatham and Curt (Julie) Straub of Elgin, South Carolina; treasured grandchildren, Ken, Joshua, Michelle, Danielle, Nathan, Cassidy, Keegan, Andrew and Cooper; cherished sister, Jewell (Bill) Morgan of Wheeling, West Virginia; brother-in-law, Dr. Phillip (Nancy) Comer of Morgantown, West Virginia; and family friend, Barb.
Andrew is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda (nee Comer).
Family will receive friends Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 28, 2013, 1 P.M., at the funeral home, with Deacon Clem officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
