Todd P. Ruppelli

Todd P. Ruppelli, 85, of Medina, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He was born May 1, 1927, son to Luigi and Genevieve Ruppelli, he was the first generation of his family to be born in the United States.

After 33 years of service at Plasti-Kote, Todd retired in 1997 as the executive vice president of sales. He enjoyed golf, football and cutting his lawn. Todd loved spending time with his grandchildren and his faithful dog and companion Murphy.

Todd honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. From meager beginnings he rose to success by never shrinking from the challenge. Tough was his middle name. He lived his life by a code of hard work and devotion to his family and was guided by his love for God and the church. He will be missed by all who knew him and remain in the hearts of all those who will love him forever.

Todd is survived by his loving wife, Judy (deGreck), to whom he was married 51 years; his children, Todd (Linda), Tim (DeAnna), Tom (Jodi), and Tina (Mike) Petrigan; his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Jordyn, Ellen, Jake, Molly, Grace and Diesel; and sister, Mary (John) DiCandilo.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ida (Bill) McCallion.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:30 A.M., at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Road, Valley City. Fr. Thomas Dunphy will officiate. Burial with military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.

Family requests, in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Todd’s name to Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.
