Rose Marie Orr, 85, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born October 12, 1927 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to William Oakley and Elizabeth (nee Wissinger).
Rose had her realtor’s license and she also was a Librarian at St. Ambrose School and Medina County Library. Rose also was the owner of Archway Gifts in Brunswick and Medina. She loved her family and appreciated her friendships. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Samuel Glenn Orr; children, Joseph (Susan), David (Ellen), Constance and Christine; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Melissa, Benjamin, Joey, Brian, Andrea, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Aaron; and two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Mara; and her only surviving sibling, Barbara Moore.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings; and her parents.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 2 until 4 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road, (corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx Rd) Medina. Visitation also at 9 A.M., one hour prior to 10 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Martyrs Church, 3100 South Weymouth Road, Medina, Monday, December 3, 2012. (Please meet at the Church).
Contributions may be made, in memory of Rose Marie, to the Salvation Army for families from Superstorm Sandy.
