Donald K. Hodek, 57, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, in Akron. Don was born June 13, 1957 in Park River, North Dakota.
He was a sales representative for Makita Power Tools for 26 years. Don was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, enjoyed the outdoors, music, and had a lifelong love of learning.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Brodal), to whom he was married 37 years; children, Melissa (Robert Bassett) Hodek and Matthew Hodek; father, Donald G.; brothers, Kenny (Effie), Rick (Janine), and Robert (Lori); and grand-dog, Franklin.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Blanche (Trenda) Hodek; sister, Diane; and sister-in-law, Pam.
Services will be held Thursday, April 2, 11 A.M., at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 N. Broadway St., Medina. The Reverend David Anderson will officiate. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina and 30 minutes prior to services on Thursday, at the church.
