Paul I. Evens, 97, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Medina. Paul was born December 15, 1917 in Reelsville, Indiana, to the late J.M. Sherman and Ida E. (Stanton) Evens.
He formerly worked at the A.I. Root Company. Paul was a member of Medina Church of Christ and enjoyed golf and playing pool.
He is survived by his son, Gene L. (Diane M.) Evens; grandchildren, Daniel L. Evans and Tammy M. (Larry) Staples; great-grandchildren, Duell and Chase Staples; great-great-grandchild, Shukia Staples; and good friends, Rita Milicic.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Virgalee, to whom he was married 54 years; sisters, Goldie F. Benson and Hope S. Winn; and brothers, Ray A. Evens and Morris A. Evens.
Graveside services will be held at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil, Indiana, on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 12 Noon.
