Paul Jenkins Lowry

AA - don't move -OBIT FLAGPaul Jenkins Lowry, 92, of Chatham Township and formerly of Brecksville, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at Lodi Community Hospital. He was born in Summerville, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1922, to Thomas and Cora Jenkins Lowry, graduating from Boston Local High School in Peninsula, Ohio in 1942. He reached the highest level of scouting, earning his Eagle Scout Badge.

He entered the U.S. Navy later that year and was honorably discharged in 1946. Mr. Lowry was employed as a commercial artist with Continental Lithograph in Cleveland, retiring in 1968. He was a very accomplished bowler, an avid golfer, but painting was his career and favorite hobby.

He is survived by a son, Paul (Skip) (wife Lou Ann) Lowry of Chatham; four grandchildren, Jessica (Brian) Day, Michelle (Rocco, Sr.) Dicini, Michael and Edward Lowry; six great-grandchildren, Alex, Brandon, Emma, Addison, Aiden and Rocco, Jr. and half brother, Charles Creighton of Phoenix, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; brother, Thomas and sister, Grace Baumiller.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 19, 2014 at 10 A.M., at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, (330-948-1122). Pastor Pat Edington will officiate. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, December 18, from 7 until 9 P.M., at the funeral home.
