James F. Vaughn, 65, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Jim was born March 12, 1949 in Medina, to the late Harold and Grace (Finley) Vaughn.
He was a dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol and retired after 28 years of service. Jim was a member of the Lafayette United Methodist Church, Medina Eagles, Medina Moose, Medina Lodge #58 F. & A.M. and Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Mack), to whom he was married 18 years; son, Brandon “BJ” Vaughn; daughter, Lynn Klein (fiancee Keith Stamper); step-children, Phillip (Kathy Majer) Hankins and Dawn Hankins; grandchildren, Heather, Trista and Darek Klein and Joey, Merle and Billy Hankins; six great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Vivienne) Vaughn; mother-in-law, Evelyn Mack; nephew, Keith Vaughn and a many cousins.
Family will receive friends Monday,
September 22, 2014 from 3 to 8 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Brian Amstutz will officiate with burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
