Beatrice M. Bowman (Baker), 90, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014. Bea was born February 2, 1924 in Medina and had been a lifetime resident.
She graduated from Medina High School in 1942 and started working for R.O.Bowman, Inc., as secretary and payroll clerk. In 1950, she left the company to join OEC Corporation and retired after 38 years of service as a secretary. Bea was a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #202. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Bowman, who died after 25 years of service with the Medina Police Department, where he was a sergeant. They were married 27 years and parents Carl and Edna (Arnold) Baker.
Services for Bea will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014, 1 P.M., at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Per Bea’s request, there will be no visitation.
