Mae L. Sanford, 81, of Medina, entered into rest Saturday, March 29, 2014. Mae was born May 15, 1932 in Medina, to the late Charles and Letha Schlechty.
She was a great woman of God who had many accomplishments in life, but what she would be most proud of and best remembered for, is leaving a legacy of faith and love. Family, especially her children and grandchildren meant everything to Mae.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Julie Wilkens) Sanford, Linda (Mike) Deeks, Bob (Jeanne) Sanford, Darlene (Jack) Wiegand and Howie (Billie) Sanford; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Schlechty; and dear lifelong friends, Diane Lackey and Winnie Garrett.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents; brother, Fred Schelchty; and sister, June Ribelin.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, where friends may call Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Internment at Spring Grove Cemetery.
