Dolores Ann “Dody” (nee Hines) Schultz, 79, of Medina, went to be with her heavenly Father, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 27, 2014. Dolores was born December 2, 1934 in Brunswick, to the late Orville B. (Pete) and Frances Hines. Dolores was a lifelong resident of York Township and was a 1952 graduate of York High School.
Dolores was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Valley City, and the Ladies Aid. She was also an active member of the York Historical Society.
Dolores’s life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was well known at all the children’s school and sporting events. Dolores enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, watching the birds and deer in the backyard.
Dolores loved to square dance and thoroughly cherished the time spent with her family, especially babysitting the great grandchildren as often as possible.
She was the beloved wife of William, married 61 years; cherished mother of James (Gloria), Connie (Andrew) Adams,; David (Rhonda), and Cindy (Dennis) Balliet; adored grandmother of Christen, Scott and Joseph Adams, Jason (Kate) Balliet, Jaclyn (Doug) Turner, Brandon (fiancee Amalia) Schultz, William, Nathan and Cory Schultz and Jon (fiancee Becky) Mack; adored and special great-grandmother of Evelyn, Joey, Molly, Landric, Amaya, Alexis and one new bundle expected in June; and dear brother-in-law, Darrell Jenkins
She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Schultz; her parents; and her twin sisters, Jean (Jack) Miller and Joan Jenkins.
Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1377 Lester Road, Valley City, will burial at York Township Cemetery, Mallet Creek. Calling hours are Sunday, March 30, 2014, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City.
The family suggests memorials, if desired, to be made to BridgesHome Health Care, Hospice of Medina County or a charity of donor’s choice.
