Nadine E. Tipton, 86, of Lodi, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio. She was born February 7, 1928, in Weston, West Virginia, to Emmett and Erma (Wyant) Taylor. She grew up there and graduated from Weston High School.
She married Henry Tipton on January 16, 1945 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She resided in Lodi for 59 years, and the past year at her daughter’s residence in Delaware. She worked as a dispatcher for the Medina Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol for 26 years, retiring in 1993. She was a former member of the Lodi Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Fitzgerald of Delaware, Linda (Kenneth) Rush of Cottonwood, California; son, Dwaine (Wanda) Tipton of Logan, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-greatgrandchildren; and brother, William Taylor of Weston, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; daughter, Joyce; grandson, James Fitzgerald; and nine siblings.
Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014, at 1:30 P.M., at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi. Reverend Donald Kuntz will officiate. There will be no visitation or other services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
