Russell E. Dobbins III, a good and faithful servant of our Lord, went to Heaven on Saturday, January 25, 2014 around 2 A.M.
He was a strong leader in his church community, Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, and at his work, Shiloh Industries. He is remembered for his honesty, wonderful sense of humor, strong will, and his support and love for his family. He was always a hard worker, loved to spend his time fishing (preferably Fly Fishing), camping, renovating his house, and tending to his garden. He passed peacefully in his sleep due to complications from esophageal cancer.
Russ was the beloved husband of Roberta (Hine), to whom he was married 30 years; loving father of Augusta L. Dobbins and Hailey A. Dobbins (fiance Matthew S. Kusch); dearest son of Lois Dobbins (Latko); dear brother of Ronald (Cathy) Dobbins, Julie (Theodore) Dukles and Janice (Dan) Brown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell E. Dobbins, Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11 A.M., at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3355 Medina Road, Medina. Rev. Daniel Haberkost will officiate. Family will receive friends Friday, January 31, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
