Gayle M. Bolton, (nee Otterbacher), 56, of Valley City, passed into her heavenly home Monday, January 6, 2014. She was born January 25, 1957 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and resided in Valley City since 1960.
Gayle was a 1975 graduate of Buckeye High School and actively followed all her childrens activities throughout the years at Buckeye, also. She is a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City.
Gayle is the third generation in the Fair Concession Business. She is well known for her London Broil and French Fry trailers at fairs and other functions. For the past 12 years, Gayle was employed at Emeritus of Medina Senior Living.
Gayle is survived by her parents, Gaylord (Barb) Otterbacher and Marilyn Otterbacher. She was the beloved mother of Nick (Melissa), Jenni (Dave) Som, Josh Bolton, Allison Otterbacher (Chris), Emily (Fred) Campbell, Ernest Bolton III and Annie Bolton (Trent); loving grandmother of Mya, Connin, Caid, Meshach, Dempsey, Miilynn, Cyprihanna and Fred, Jr.; and sister of Paul, Phil, Jason, Steven and David Otterbacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bolton, Jr. (2012).
Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 9, 2014, 12 Noon, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 2233 Abbeyville Road, Valley City, with Reverend Michael Koch officiating. Calling hours are Wednesday, January 9, 2014, 5 until 9 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. There will be one hour viewing, prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
