Selden F. Armbruster, 89, died Sunday, January 5, 2014. A native of Seville, he moved to Lake Placid, Florida in 1990, after spending several winters at Big Pine Key, Florida.
He was retired from Flight Services Station at Cleveland International Airport. Selden was a member of #1240 Air Men’s Club and was a WWII Army veteran. He enjoyed listening to big band music, flying and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of Lake Placid; one son, Robert (Karen) Armbruster of Wadsworth: two daughters, Janet (Pat) Hewit of Westfield Center, and JoAnn (Jim) Nicodemus of West Sunbury, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Warner (Kathie) Armbruster of Moore Haven, Florida.
Selden was preceded in his death by his parents, Selden G. and Elizabeth Armbruster.
He was under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice. His wishes were to be cremated and then buried at Ohio Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
