Quentin “Ted” Frazier, 78 of Medina, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015. Ted was born March 3, 1937, in Lodi, to the late Quentin D. and Wilma (nee Cover) Frazier. He was a lifelong resident of Medina County. Years ago, Ted worked at the BF Goodrich warehouse in Medina, but retired as a custodian for the Medina City School System.
Ted was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1956-1959. He was an avid Civil War collector and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his sons, Bret and Matt Frazier, both of Medina; brothers, Grant (Shirley) Frazier of Akron and Allan (Chrissy) Frazier of Milford, Delaware; nephews, Jason Frazier and Geoff (Jennifer) Frazier and niece, Michele (Chuck) Coulter.
Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorine (nee Frambaugh) in 1991 and parents, Quentin D. in 1988 and Wilma in 2008.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M., Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City, with a Celebration of Life service at 7 P.M. Pastor Reid Firestone will officiate. Private burial was held Thursday, January 7, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.

Bruce C. Petchler, 75, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
He was the beloved father of Curtis (Nicole) and Kelly (Justine); brother of the late James and former husband of Marie.

David U. Martin
David U. Martin, 46, of Seville, died unexpectedly at his home Thursday, January 7, 2016. Dave was born August 11, 1969 in Wooster and was the son of Charles and Betty (Hibbens) Edwards.
He graduated from Norwayne High School in 1987 and served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at the Alpha Packaging in Cleveland having previously worked the Bemis Co. in Cuyahoga Falls. Dave loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, was an avid Cleveland Browns and NASCAR fan and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dawn Corp Dollar, who he married January 24, 2009; his children, Kaleigh Martin and Jerimiah Martin of Lodi; step-children, Jesse (Emily) Dollar of Wadsworth and Danielle Dollar of Medina; grandson, Logan Dollar; parents, Chuck and Betty Edwards of Burbank; sisters and brother, Missy (Jeramie) Plemmons of Stark, Florida, Charles (Christy) Edwards, Jr. of Sterling and Heidi (Jeffrey) Miner, Jr. of Wadsworth and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Services will be Tuesday, January 11, 2016 at 11 A.M., at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Burial will be in Seville Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 P.M., in the funeral home.

William E. Bessler
William E. Bessler, 85, of Medina, passed away Monday, January, 4, 2016. He was a lifetime resident of the Akron area and graduated from South High in June of 1949.
Bill and his father ran an automobile repair shop on North Hill until 1966 and then he started working for Rice Oil Company as a salesman and retired in 1995. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He went to Rice Lake in Canada every year to fish for 45 years.
He had two children, Kathy and Greg and two grandchildren, Brandy and Nicholas. On July 17, 1982, he married Janet Hilty and she had two children, Becky and David.
He owned land in Monroe County in Southern Ohio for 30 years and enjoyed hunting and camping there.
Bill was in the U.S. Army and served in Japan for two years.
Bill joined his wife of 32 years, Janet and his parents, Fred and Grace Bessler.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, January 16, at 11 A.M., at Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston. Bill will be cremated and he and Jan will be interred at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, January 18, at 9:30 A.M.
Ruth Louise Rook
Ruth Louise Rook, 83, of Sullivan, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 8, 2016 at Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. She was born March 11, 1932 in Clarksfield, Ohio, to Lewis and Lavilla (Sprague) Twining.
She was a graduate of Sullivan High School, class of 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Phillip Rook on February 25, 1951. Ruth was a homemaker and worked alongside Phil, her longtime husband and partner on the family farm that they loved. She was a member of the Sullivan First Congregational Church and the Sullivan High School Alumni, having missed only one alumni reunion in 65 years.
Surviving are her husband, Phil; daughter, JoAnne (Jess) Bidinger of Sullivan; sons, Steve (Susan) Rook of Plainfield, Illinois, John (Sherry) Rook of Sullivan; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Doris Twining of Loudonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marjorie; son, Russell; sisters, Mary Jane Jackson, Lois Ann VonKamp and Janet Biddinger and brothers, Russell, Ronald, Richard and Roy Twining.

Kathleen Joyce White
Kathleen Joyce White (nee Thomas), 68, of Lodi, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Denise’s Adult Care in Lorain, following a brief illness. Kathleen was born August 28, 1947 in Lorain. She was raised in Lorain and graduated from Clearview High School with the class of 1965. Kathleen had made her home in Lodi for over 30 years.
She was employed as a Material Handler at Medina General Hospital for around 20 years. Her hobbies included tending to her gardens. Kathleen was a hard worker and enjoyed not only her family, but her work family as well.
Survivors include her sons, Lee J. White of Wellington, Dwayne C. White (Michelle) of Clayton, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kelsie, Samantha, Jasmine, Abigail, Jordan and Austin; her brothers, David Thomas (Sandy) and Edward Thomas (Kathy), both of Wellington, Donald Thomas (Melissa) and Jeff Thomas (Kathy), both of New London and her sisters, Barbara Thomas Harrington (Chet) of Prather, California, Linda Reip (Lloyd) of Amherst and Laura Young of Oberlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin White; and her parents, Lee Eldridge and Olivia Joyce Thomas (nee McCormick).
Friends may call Monday, January 11, 2016 from 6 to 8 P.M. and Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 12 Noon until the time of funeral services at 1 P.M., at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Patrick A. Kazmierczak
Patrick A. Kazmierczak, 64, of West Salem, died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born June 11, 1951 in Lodi, the son of Chester and Marjorie (McVicker) Kazmierczak.
He graduated in 1969 from Northwestern High School and 1973 from Kent State University. Pat had been employed at ArtiFlex Manufacturing in Wooster for 34 years. He was a boy scout leader for Troop 65.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Anne (Bigley) Kazmierczak, whom he married September 4, 1981; children, Lisa Ogden of Salt Lake City, Utah, Matthew Kazmierczak of Akron and Jennifer Kazmierczak of the home and his twin brother, Paul (Debbie) Kazmierczak of Medina.
His parents died previously.
Memorial Service will be Friday, January 15, 2016 at 7 P.M., in the Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem, with Pastor Floyd Costello officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Jane Stump
Jane Stump (nee Welch), 81, of Pittsfield, passed peacefully Saturday, January 9, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Born November 2, 1934 in Olena, Ohio, Jane grew up and lived in the area. She had lived in Pittsfield for the last 36 years.
Jane was a member of Pittsfield Community Church. Jane not only ran the home and raised the “kids”, but worked beside her husband at his gas and service stations from 1959 until 1972.
She was extremely creative and it showed in her joy of sewing and gardening. Jane made dolls and dressed them in outfits she created, selling them from Jane’s Merchantile located at Jamie’s Flea Market and East Oberlin Flea Market for 17 years. Her creations were shipped and treasured all over the United States, as well as some that traveled to find homes in Ireland. Jane’s home was her pride and joy. She loved her flower gardens and spent many peace-filled hours nurturing each plant and finding just the right spot for them. She also volunteered at Oberlin Allen Hospital in the gift shop for seven years.
Jane is survived by her husband, Dennis. She was a loving and devoted wife and they just celebrated their 64th anniversary in October. She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Roger) Johnson of Elyria and Maria (William) Fox of Baltimore, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Sheri Richards Stump of Elyria; she was loving grandmother to Lisa (Randy) Maschari, Nicole (Don) Johnson-Easterday, Heather (William) Lottes, Sara (Nick) Garver, John (Stacie) Stump and Jeff (Corinna) Diederich; great-grandmother to Zackary Tollett, Destiny and Bryce Funk, Haylee Garver, Logan Schrader, Malayna Stump, Karissa and Kyle Diederich; and sisters, Joan (Frank) Leimeister of Huron and Theresa Bailey of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
Jane was preceded in death by her sons, Jeffery Lynn (July 2013) and John Ira (March 1957); daughter, Julia Ann (also in March 1957); her parents, Ira and Evelyn Welch; sisters, Ruth Dehner and Lorena Catlin and brother, Dick Welch.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 2 to 7 P.M., at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Camden Cemetery.

Emily Ann Young
Emily Ann Young, 24, of Spencer, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born May 9, 1991 in Akron, to Jim and Debbie (Nixon) Young and graduated from Black River High School and Medina County Career Center.
She was a member of the Spencer United Methodist Church. Emily was taken from us way too soon. She will be remembered for her huge heart, contagious laugh, beautiful smile and selfish devotion for her friends and family.
Her legacy, Adrianna, Delainee and Helaina will fill our hearts and the days to come with their beautiful smiles, helping us as we grieve for our Emmy.

Roger Alan Mollohan, 56, of Medina, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016.
He was a life time resident of Medina and served on the MCVFD. Roger was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He was employed by USG for over 20 years and most recently employed by the Cleveland Clinic.

Sharon Baines, 63, of Medina, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016, surrounded by her children. She was born June 15, 1952 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Walter and Ann (Fedorka) Young.
Sharon will be remembered for her love of cooking and even more so as a woman who cared dearly for her family.
Sharon is survived by her loving children, Michael (David) Tomak, Stacy (Richard) Estrada, Eugene (Katrina) Tomak; dear grandchildren, Gage, Jacob, Jonathon, Dylan, Joshua, Alexis, Gabriella; her siblings, Mary Glacken, William Young, Shirley Wolfe, Joyce DeWildt and Linda Hammil; numerous nieces and nephews and her fur babies.

Nancy Ann Lizotte
Nancy Ann Lizotte, 85, of Findlay, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Fox Run Manor. She was born March 3, 1930, to the late Carl and Marie (Streblow) Clark. On July 21, 1951 she married Frank Jackson “Jack” Lizotte and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2006.
Nancy was a 1948 graduate of West High School in Cleveland. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Findlay University. Nancy retired following 27 years as an educator. She taught first grade for 24 of those years at Northview Elementary in Findlay.
Nancy was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society, a professional educator’s organization, and a volunteer at the Findlay Public Library.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn (George) Fry of Amsden, Ohio, Kathleen (James) Baraga of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Debra (Steve) Ader of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and Patricia (James) Ryan of Lakewood; her brother, James Clark of Westerville; her beloved 12 grandchildren, Benjamin (Alicia) Fry, Brent (Stacy) Fry, Jason (Abbey) Fry, Cara Fry, Jamie (Richard) Nicholas, Anthony (Christina) Baraga, Joshua (Kelly) Baraga, Stefanie Ader, Jackson (Kelsa) Ader, Abigail Ryan, Tess Ryan and Caitlin Ryan and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Susan Noyer.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 5 to 7 P.M., at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11 A.M., at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Cindy Ritter officiating.

Ruth Carol Yost
Ruth Carol Yost, 87, of Wellington, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. A daughter of the late Myrl and Helen (nee Denham) Heath, Ruth was born November 25, 1928 in Elyria.
She grew up in Penfield and was a graduate of Penfield High School. She later moved to Litchfield then to Clarksfield and Collins before moving to Wellington.
Ruth worked in food service at Fisher Titus Hospital for many years. She was very active in her children’s lives, volunteering with their schools and becoming involved with the Juvenile Grange. Ruth will be remembered as a very giving person. She enjoyed volunteering her time visiting nursing homes and was awarded a 25 year volunteer award from the Elms Retirement Village for her service. Ruth most loved to spend time with her family and all children.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Yost of Litchfield, Edward Yost of Athens, James Yost of Hartville, Michael Yost of Honduras, Cindi Barnes of Reno and William Yost of Stow; sister, Lora Sheffield of Pittsfield; brother, John Heath of Sullivan; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A private burial will take place at Penfield Cemetery.

Eugene Korman Crum
Eugene Korman Crum, 71, of Oviedo, Florida, went to Heaven on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. He was a long time resident of Medina County but moved to Oviedo, Florida in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Crum; his seven daughters and 10 grandchildren; his oldest daughter, Deidra, whom is married to Kenny Auclair, they have two children, Cameron and Gavin; Josie whom is married to Mario Rivera and they have two children, Chadwick and Maranda; Jody whom is married to Dererk Youngblood and they have three children, Alexia, Siara and Ryan; Larissa, whom is married to John Suggs and they have two children, Jack and Julia and Samara, his youngest, whom has a daughter, Branwyn; and Kierra Durant and Kirstie Questell. He was extremely close with his sisters and brothers as well, Karen Beck, Patty Manzey, Jerry Crum and Kelby Crum.
His love for carpentry was passed down through his father and he used his skill to touch many lives here in Central Florida as well as back home in Medina. He was the most caring, loyal, loving and strong man that we all were so blessed to know. He will be missed as a husband, father, brother, uncle and grandpa.

Merl Coen
Merl Coen, 86, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was born in Braxton, West Virginia January 1, 1930, to the late Fred and Ida (Mullens) Brown.
Merl worked as a Nurse’s Aid for over 20 years before retiring from Mount Royal Villa Nursing Home.
Merl is survived by her daughter, Nancy Arabie; sisters, Lena Bess, Berta Dixon; brother, Bob Brown; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Coen; daughters, Linda Gail Coen, Debra Skiles; granddaughter, Vicki Skiles; sisters, Irene Starcher, Mabel Butcher; brothers, Buck Brown, Ira Brown, Junior Brown, Charles Brown.

Ann Michelle Happ
Ann Michelle Happ (nee Crow), 90, joined her Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Ann was born in Austin, Texas, on August 5, 1925, to Frank Wilson Crow and Maude Ann Crow (nee Routon) Crow. She moved to Medina in 1959 with her surviving husband of 71 years (married November 21, 1944) former Medina County Commissioner, John H. Happ, Sr.
Ann was a devoted wife and mother but nevertheless a writer and businesswoman. She was employed as the society editor for the former Medina County Leader Post and the Medina County Gazette. She served for a time as a writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer covering Medina County. She authored the children’s Christmas Story, Billie the Bluebell Bear and supported her husband in his position as Editor of Gleanings in Bee Culture, published by the A.I. Root Co. Ann also wrote many other featured articles and notes for the former Savings Deposit Bank. She was crowned Mrs. Austin in 1955; a preliminary beauty and homemaking-skills competition for the Mrs. America pageant.
From 1972 to 1994, Ann was the Director of Gallery Blue art gallery, where she held one person art shows for local artists Franklin A. Bates, Frederick C. Graff, Allen Banks and Henry Edinger, along with Sharon Kinzer, formerly of Akron, Jack Liberman of Bath and Charles Pfahl of Akron and later, New York City. She also represented many other Northeast Ohio artists, including one of her favorites, local art teacher, Ray Libengood. Operating Gallery Blue gave Ann the opportunity to know many Medina artists, art students and residents of the community. She had a patient, kind and warm manner with everyone she met and was truly interested in their goals, talents and achievements.
Ann was a devoted member of the Golden Rule Circle of the International Order of King’s Daughters and Sons, Inc., for over 50 years. She served as the appointed Medina City representative on the Medina County Board of Health for many years and served one term as President. In addition, Ann was a member of the Medina Democratic Central Committee for over 20 years and was proud of the legacy that she and her family have in the Medina County Democratic Party. Democratic officials connected to the Happ family have served at least 94 years in office since the Happs were elected in 1980.
Ann is also survived by her son, Col. (Ret.) John H. Happ, Jr., (Carol, nee Lucas) of College Station, Texas; son, Gregory Wilson Happ, (Susan) of Medina; grandson, John H. Happ III (Nellie); great-grandson, John H. Happ IV, all of Spring, Texas; sister-in-law, Irene Crow of Austin, Texas and nieces, Janine Parrish, Cherie McMahan, Julie Ann Evans and Melanie Reck.
Ann was the proud and loving sister of John Wilson Crow, deceased, who served as Travis County (TX) Treasurer for more than 30 years.

Jeanne Weber
Jeanne Weber, 86, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016, surrounded by family. She was born in Cleveland on September 1, 1929, to the late John and Mildred (Ferguson) Kennedy.
Jeanne graduated from St. Vincent Charity School of Nursing with a Nursing Diploma. She spent 27 years as a Registered Nurse at Lakewood Hospital. Jeanne was an active member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church and served often with the Ministry of Assistance. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and travel, but even more so as a woman of great faith who cared dearly for her family.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Weber; her twin sister, Joan (Edward, deceased) Zippay; her children, William (Kwon) Weber, Maureen (Richard) Niese, Robert (Barbara) Weber, Bernard (Mitzie) Weber, Thomas (Margaret) Weber, Gregory (Kristie) Weber; grandchildren, Meghan Weber, William Weber, Emily Laco, Marian Pauli, Richard Niese, Michael Niese, David Weber, Natalie Weber, Lauren Weber, Claire Goodman, Christopher Weber, Malory Grogan, Colleen Weber, Eleisa Weber and Benjamin Weber and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M., Friday, January 15, 2016 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Rd., Medina, with visitation one hour prior from 9 to 10 A.M. Father Stephen Dohner will officiate.

Mary Gaffney Keith
Mary Gaffney Keith, 83, of Medina, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016. Born in New York City on May 2, 1932, Mary lived an amazing life.
The daughter of Irish immigrants, she loved and embraced her Irish heritage. An accomplished Irish stepdancer and violinist, her life was filled with music and family. Mary was a 50 year parishioner of St. Francis Xavier, Medina and worked at RPM in Brunswick for many years. Mom also worked for St. Francis as a receptionist and in the Latch Key program.
She leaves her beloved children, Mary (Neil) Corrigan, Jeanne Keith and Terry Keith. Mary was also blessed with four wonderful grandchildren, Brittney and Michael Keith, Bridget and Bobby Corrigan. Also survived by her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann Gaffney, Gerry McCrory, Eileen Corcoran, Sheila Phelan, Jeanne Keith and Patsy Phillips.
Mary was preceded in death by the light of her life, Terry, whom she was married to for 52 years. Mary joins her parents, James and Alice Gaffney; her in-laws, William and Ellen Keith; her brothers, Joseph and James and sister, Rose; her brothers-in-law, William Phelan, William Philips and William Keith.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016, 4 until 8 P.M., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 15, 2016, 11 A.M., at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, 44256. Interment to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.

Norma Jean Wild
Norma Jean Wild, 88, of Adrian, formerly of Cleveland and Medina, went home to Jesus on Sunday, January 10, 2016. She was born January 29, 1927, in Cleveland, to Cornelis and Johanna (Helmink) DeBooVanUyen.
On March 22, 1947, she married Thomas Wild and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2008. Norma had been employed by Buckeye Schools in Ohio and South Port, North Carolina Schools. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She served as organist for Sacred Heart Church in North Carolina.
She is survived by 10 children: five sons, Gerald (Susan) Wild of Valley City, Thomas J. (Alice) Wild of Stockton, California, Anthony (Rebecca)Wild of Grafton, Christopher (Barbara) Wild of Grafton and Joseph Wild of Adrian, Michigan; five daughters, Linda (Burt) Drogell of Medina, Jeanne (Gerald) Whitecotten of Brooklyn, Ohio, Janice Pierce of Adrian, Karen (Brandon) Williams of Adrian and Laurie (Gregory) Williams of Adrian; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and four nieces.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Wild in infancy; sister, Corinne Smith and a nephew.
The Funeral Liturgy will be offered Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10 A.M., at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Anthony Strouse as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, where a Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Visitation will also be held Friday from 9 A.M. until 9:45 A.M., prior to the service at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
