Russell A. Blaich, 84, of York Township, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born October 23, 1927 to the late Charles and Isabelle Blaich in Cleveland.
Russell will always be remembered as a devoted family man, who was the best father in the world. He worked for 49 1/2 years as a Lithographer at Simpkins; he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and was a skilled mechanic. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Russell is survived by his two loving sons, Brian R. (Therese) Blaich and Bradley A. (Martha) Blaich; adoring grandson, Eric R. Blaich; sister-in-law, Lois P. (deceased Clarence “Nick”) Nicklas; and brother-in-law Denis (deceased Kathleen) Liebert; nephews, Gregory and Jeffrey Liebert; niece, Laura Hine; as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Clarice Blaich; his parents; and his nephew, Denis Liebert, Jr.
Visitation will be held for Russell on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. Medina with a funeral service to follow directly at 1 P.M., Pastor James Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
