Michael L. Blake, 66, of Medina, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Michael was born October 4, 1946 in LasVegas, Nevada, to the late James and Nellie (McCarty) Blake.
He worked in his career as an industrial engineer for Emery Air Freight and UPS. Michael greatly enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter. He loved drag racing, model trains and computer programming. Michael served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Mike was the beloved husband of Marcia (Whetstone), to whom he was married 42 years; loving father of Holly Blake of North Carolina and Aaron (Julie) Blake of Cincinnati; dear grandfather of Leah Blake; and loving brother of Dean Blake of Columbus.
Service will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Robin Hart will officiate. Military burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M., at the funeral home.
