Robert C. Simmons, Jr., 82, of Medina, passed Thursday, May 30, 2013. Bob was born May 5, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Mary Alice (Jeffries) Simmons.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed sports and wood working. Bob lived for his grandchildren and family, and always had a joke to tell.
Bob was the beloved father of Jeffrey (Suzanne) Simmons and Scott (Laura) Simmons; loving grandfather of Kelsey, Kendra, Katie, Shelby and Parry Simmons; and dear brother of Ann Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn; a brother and a sister.
Private family services will be held, with military honors, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
