Jesse Church, 79, of Lafayette Township, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Life Care of Medina. He was born January 11, 1934 in Spencer, West Virginia, to George and Ila (Ash) Church. He grew up there and entered the U.S. Army in 1956.
Following his military service, he moved to Cleveland and later to Lafayette Township in 1974. He worked as a truck driver for Roadway for 36 years, retiring in 1986.
Surviving are his daughters, Sue (Pat) Nelson, Tammy (Jim) Rosin, Judy (Don) McKee; sons, Kevin (Traci) Church, John Romans, Scott (Angela) Church, Jesse (Daneen) Church; daughter-in-law, Linda (Tim) Hnath; 24 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Church, Shirley Davis; and his brother, George Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian; son, Milo; daughter, Donna; brothers, Ben and Harry; and sisters, Edna and Bessie.
Funeral service will be 2 P.M., Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi. Pastor Reid Firestone will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation will be two hours prior to service 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 P.M. in the funeral home.
