Barbara Ann Flak, 70, of Medina, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at University Hospital of Cleveland. She was born in Cleveland, to Anthony and Nancy (nee Falzone) Arena on December 22, 1942.
She and Stanley F. Flak Jr. were married May 21, 1966 and after raising her three children, she was employed at Our Lady of the Elms as Secretary for 12 years. Barbara Ann loved her family and enjoyed baking, scrap booking and shopping.
She will be missed by so many especially her husband, Stan; sons, Michael A. (Lori) and Stanley J. (Naomi); daughter, Sandra (Mark) Flak-Montgomery. She was Nonnie to her beloved grandchildren, Allison, Amy, Michael, Anna, William, Keira, Kristina, Evan, Wendy and Anastasia. She also leaves behind her brother, David (Norma) Gaeta. She was a beloved Aunt and Godmother to many.
Barbara Ann was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Russell; and her grandson, Brian Andrew.
Visitation with family will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 4 to 8 P.M., at Carlson Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (corner of Rt. 18 and River Styx Rd.) Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina. Father Tony Sejba officiating. (Please meet at the church) Burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
