Merle Manley Myers, 71, of Medina, passed into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. He was born in 1941 in Sharon Center.
He practiced architecture in the city of Medina and Northeastern Ohio for over 30 years. He was very proud of being selected as Ohio’s Gold Medal Firm of the Year for 2001 as well as many other architectural awards throughout his career. He felt grateful for all the opportunities he had and the many talented and nice people he met and worked with along the way.
Merle was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Esther Myers; brother, Don Myers; and sister, Shirley Maag.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Shannon and Dana Myers of Medina and Katherine (Timothy) Kermode of Athens, Ohio; and his sister, Elaine (Dan) Letz of Sharon Center.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Merle’s life will be held at CrossPoint Alliance Church, 855 Rothrock Road, Akron (on the corner of Rothrock and Cleveland-Massillon Roads), Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. Friends may call one hour prior to service.
