Mary Louise Doutrich

Mary Louise Doutrich, 80, of Wadsworth, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, following a courageous three year battle with ALS. She was born June 6, 1932 in Mogadore, Ohio, to the late George and Grace Scheck.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ (UCC), VFW Women’s Auxiliary, a life member of the American Legion, Sharon Women’s Club, Retired Enlisted Association Auxiliary, and was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel. She worked numerous jobs, she was a military spouse, a stay at home mom, waitress, and the first female tow motor operator for Hobart. Mary loved adventure and traveling. She was present for all the highlights of her family’s lives.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Mel, Jim and Stan Scheck.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Leon, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage; their children, Debera (Bruce) Lorincz, Vickie Williams, Terry (Jeff Wolf) Ewing, Samuel (Michelle) Doutrich III and Lynlee (Frank) Fertal; eight beloved grandchildren, Maureen, Lauren, Jay, Tim, Drew, Audra, Kaeli and Shelby; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be conducted at 11 A.M., Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Trinity UCC, 215 High St., Wadsworth, with the Reverend Daniel Doty and Reverend Lauren Lorincz officiating. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 10 to 11 A.M.

Memorials may be made in Mary’s name to HMC Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
