Mary Patricia (Patty) Sommer, 64, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 after a brief illness. Patty was born March 5, 1948 in Lodi, to the late Jack and Molly Sommer.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Molly Sommer and her sister and brother in law, Gretchen and Harry Martinson of Wadsworth.
Patty graduated from Wadsworth High in 1966. She spoke often of all her friends from high school. She loved cooking and watching cooking shows, doing her crossword puzzles or watching British Comedy shows. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews since she had no children of her own.
Patty will be dearly missed by her surviving family, Shelley and Jan Kraska, her sister and brother n law of Greensboro, North Carolina; Joseph Allen, her step father of Palmetto, Florida; she was known as Aunt Patty to the rest of her loving family, Jason, Scott and Julie Martinson of Wadsworth, Lucy and Greg Noble and Kate and Wesley of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Chad and Stephanie Kraska and Clara Jane of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ryan and Elisabeth Kraska and Molly, Myles, and Miller of Greensboro, North Carolina.
She was a blessing to us all and we will miss her very much!
We hope you can come celebrate her life with us. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. A reception will be held following the memorial service.
