Frederick Leon Bowling, 75, of Brook Park, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 in Middleburg Heights. He was born May 20, 1937 in Johnson County, Kentucky, to the late Everett and Elva (nee Burke) Bowling.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Tuthill in Berea as a CAD Draftsman. Fred was an avid UK basketball fan and enjoyed working on computers.
He will be missed by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee Brady) of 48 years; loving children, Kimberly (Charles) Stewart of Brook Park, Kelly (Christopher J.) DuRell of West Salem, and Karen (Roger) Bowling of Parma; 10 cherished grandchildren, Jay Jr., Brady, Karliann, Renee, Christopher L., Joshua, John, Kara, Michael, and Glenn; two adored great grandchildren; brother, Gary “Pete” (Fern) Bowling and nephews, Terry and Jimmy Bowling.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gina Barker; and sisters, Martha and Elizabeth.
Friends may call Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. Service will be Friday, April 19, 2013 at 9 A.M. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
