Helen O. Gray, 91, of Wadsworth, died peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013. She was born November 6, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to John and Natalia Ofchar.
Helen was an active member of the Wadsworth United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was a participating member of the Order of Eastern Star, holding various positions. Many children who attended Valley View Elementary School during the 70′s will remember her from her position in the cafeteria. One of her favorite things to do, was watch the Cleveland Indians on television. She always looked forward to baseball season.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Cecil, in 2002; and sisters, Stella, Ann, and Catherine.
She is survived by a daughter, Natalie (Gary) Erbse of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; sons, Kenneth (Marsha) Gray of Strongsville, and Curtis (Heather) Gray of Lawrenceville, Georgia; grandchildren, Heather, Kelly, Lillian, Ava, Jennifer, and David; great-grandchildren, Frank IV and Emily. Helen is also survived by a sister, Mary of California; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, 11 A.M., at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., in Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
