Nina Fay Zuber passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013, at her home, with family present. She was the second daughter born to Frank and Minnie (Hottenstein) Fulton on August 18, 1918 in Medina County, Seville. She was baptized March 30, 1919 and confirmed and a member of the Acme Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
She graduated from Seville School in 1936 and from the Wayne School of Practical Nursing in 1970. Her hobby was Art. She has painted over 56 paintings that the family can locate presently. ln 1957, more than 50 beautiful landscapes and flower arrangements had been painted. They were her favorite subjects. She taught beginners and believed in expressing realism in her scenes of spring and autumn landscapes that are as natural as all outdoors. Her favorite artist was Leonardo Da Vinci. She was active in the Medina County Home Council, the Acme Lutheran Church, and social committee of the Isham School PTA.
Nina was married to Willard Zuber October 23,1937 by Pastor Reverend Lubold. They enjoyed traveling and toured all 50 states, Canada, eight countries (England, Europe, Holy Land, Egypt and the Arab countries; Above a mountain, looking over the Holy Land, left a great impression in her life. She was a homemaker and canned from their huge garden and from their three apple trees, a pear tree and berry bushes. They even had honey from the bee hives. She loved to swim in the lake they had on their property.
To this union, four children were born: Glen Zuber of Seville, Joan (Rich) Pantalone of Canal Fulton, Carol (Chuck) Snyder and Elaine (Fred) Haynes of Rittman. She has 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. Nina and Willard celebrated their 64th anniversary in 2002. She will be sadly missed by all the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willard Zuber; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Zuber; and great granddaughter, Faith Noble.
Service will be Friday, March 1, 2013, at 11 A.M., from the Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Road. Friends may call at the church Thursday, 5 until 8 P.M., and one hour prior to service. Reverend Dr. Edward Kropa, Jr. will be officiating. Burial at the church cemetery.
