Raymond Eugene Lewis

Raymond Eugene Lewis, 67, of Sebring, Florida, left this life on earth for eternal life in Heaven on Wednesday, February 13, 2013. He was born in Lodi, on July 10, 1945, to Margaret (Dull) Lewis and the late Ray Lewis.

Raymond served four years in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965 and 6 years in the National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He was a job setter for General Motors of Dayton, for 28 and a half years retiring in 1993.

He was loved by many. He was a son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his mother, Margaret Wessolek of Lodi; son, and fiance, Paul Gard and Gretchen of Dayton; step daughter, Jenny (Jamey) Sorensen of Dayton; sisters, Nancy Spree of Lodi, Carol Daugherty of Avon Park, Florida, Connie Jones of Lodi, Becky (Ron) Daugherty of Wooster; brother, Roger Lewis of Chatham; granddaughters, Courtny Vaughn and Emalie Sorensen; grandsons, Brandon Gard and Jacob Sorensen; great-grandson, Bentley Spencer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Lewis; step father, Charles Wessolek; brothers, Marion and Gary Lewis; nephew, Roger Lewis, Jr. and the love of his life fiancee, Shirley Staup.

Funeral service will be Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2 P.M. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, (330) 948-1122. Pastor Dennis Martin of Brunswick, will officiate. Burial will follow at Burbank Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., in the funeral home.
