Mona Lee Pleban

Mona Lee Pleban, 75, of Grafton Twp., passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Hospice Care Center of Medina County, after a short bout with cancer. She was born August 6, 1937 in Cleveland, living in the Grafton area over 50 years.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Grafton for many years, a member of the Ladies Guild, and choir, and assisted in many church functions. Mrs. Pleban worked for the Westfield Insurance Co. as a keypunch operator for 10 years, and then enjoyed caring for her family home. She enjoyed wedding cake decorating, ceramics, and bowling. She also enjoyed working with the PTA with her children.

She is survived by her husband Gene, married 50 years; two daughters, Michelle (Larry) Cassady of Penfield Twp., Vickie Frantz of Vermilion; two grandchildren, Andrew and Leah Frantz; a twin brother, Donald (Carolyn) Jenny of Medina.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Jenny; her grandparents, Harry and Buena Jenny.

Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. with funeral Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace, 708 Erie St., Grafton, at 10 A.M. Fr. John Seabold, Pastor will officiate. Closing prayers will be at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton.

The family suggests memorials be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Building Fund, 708 Erie St., Grafton, OH 44044.
