Lynn D. Gillespie, 55, of Hinckley, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 16, 1957 to the late Jacob George and Ruth Shirley (nee Jones) Sedlock.
Lynn retired from Kinsner Elementary in Strongsville, as a second grade teacher. She devoted much of her spare time playing and coaching soccer. She enjoyed coaching the Brunswick Blue Lightning and the Brunswick All-Stars along with several recreational leagues, for many years. Lynn was a former PSR teacher at St. Ambrose also.
She will be missed by her beloved husband, James of 34 years; loving daughters, Courtney (fiancé Phil Saslaw) and Kirsten Gillespie; cherished sisters, Lisa (Ken) Schneider and Leslie (James) Wise; dear brother, Scott (Anne) Sedlock; and her parents-in-law, whom she cared for deeply, James Robert and Zoe Marie Gillespie.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, 2013, from 1 to 3 P.M. and from 6 to 9 P.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, 44212, and one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday, February 1, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 A.M., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, 44212. Burial will follow at Hope Memorial Gardens, in Hinckley.
