William M. VonDuyke, 79, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Berea Alzheimer’s Center. He was born in Cleveland, to Lee and Marion (nee Coode) VonDuyke.
William has been married to the love of his life, Patricia (nee Nemitz) for 53 years. They lived in Brunswick for 49 years and are members of LifeSpring Church in Valley City.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, bowling and dancing. William was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Pipefitter with Local 120 was a member of the VFW Post #9520 and American Legion Post #234.
William is survived by his wife; twin sons, Robert (Linda) and Ronald (Barbara); daughter, Karen (Fred) Hollopeter; sister, Marion; brother, Tim (Judy); in-laws, Shirley Bugelski, Esther Hannaford, Paul (Jane) Nemitz and Gino DiCaprio; grandchildren, Tony, Kevin, Kyle, Tyler, Macie, Michael and Andy; great-grandchildren, Melina, Ashlin, Aiden, Avery, Annabelle, Isabelle, Wyatt and Brant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee and David; in-laws, Paul and Bernice Kenyon, Flora DiCaprio, Bernard and Dorothy Wolf, Steve Bugelski, Melford Nemitz and Charles Hannaford.
Friends may join the family for visitation Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 3 to 7 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick, with funeral service to be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens, Brunswick.
Family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions would be graciously accepted by LifeSpring Church, 1638 Lester Rd., Valley City, OH 44280.
