Robert E. Mohr, 88, of Emeritus at The Inn at Medina, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born August 5, 1924 in Peoria, Illinois.
Bob retired after 30+ years from Illinois Bell, where he was an executive. He will always be remembered for his great love for fishing. Bob served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was the beloved father of Stu (Kathy) Mohr of Medina, Steve (Karen) Mohr of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Jim (Sheryl) Mohr of Mt. Zion, Illinois; loving grandfather of Amy (Bob) Buttermore of Wisconsin, Nicole Marquard of Medina, Lindsey Mohr and Ethan Mohr of Illinois, Tyler and Austin Mohr of Texas; great grandfather of Savannah, Brady, and Cody Buttermore of Wisconsin, and Lauren Marquard of Medina; and dear brother, Ray Mohr of Springfield, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Jane Mohr (Mueller), to whom he was married 58 years; and many brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2013 from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, 500 North Fourth St., Pekin, Illinois 61554. Graveside service will immediately follow at Lakeside Cemetery, 1917 N. 8th St., Perkin, Illinois.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Emeritus at The Inn at Medina for the wonderful care they gave their Dad in the three years he spent with them.
