Diane N. Manix, 80, of Westfield Township, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013. She was born October 20, 1932 in Faribault, Minnesota, to the late Leonard and Edith Nelson.
Mrs. Manix was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Cloverleaf Women’s Club. She was an elementary school teacher in Great Falls, Montana and Dayton, and later worked for and retired from Brown Williamson in Medina. Her greatest joy in life was watching her grandchildren in all their activities, especially Austen in baseball and Katy in cheerleading.
Diane is survived by her husband, John, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage; sons and daughters-in-law, Sean (Lesa Hoseck) Manix of White Bear Lake, Minnesota and Jay (Kim) Manix of Wadsworth; and her two beloved grandchildren, Katy Smoyer and Austen Manix.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends 5 to 8 P.M., Friday, January 18, 2013, and one hour prior to services 10 to 11 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013. Interment will be in Friendsville Cemetery, Friendsville Rd., Westfield Twp.
