Carl “Butch” Vajdich, 64, of Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He was born on September 18, 1948, to the late Carl and Emily (nee Janciga) Vajdich, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Butch proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved to go fishing and hunting. Butch also enjoyed, woodworking and collecting fish.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dana (nee Stevens) of 17 years; loving children, Danielle (David) Potter, Carl Jr. (Lori) Vajdich, Stephanie (Chris) Tulodziecki, Jimmy Carpenter, Joey Cecil and Jeff Guber; 14 treasured grandchildren, and cherished sister, Susan (George) Grey.
Butch was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. and Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. Service will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home, with Pastor Matthew Wald officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick.
