Marjorie Maxwell, 98, of Burbank, died peacefully Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Burbank Parke, following a period of declining health. She was born November 12, 1914 in Norton Center, the daughter of the late Walter and Estella (Frantz) Marvin, Sr.
She married Carl L. Maxwell on December 30, 1939 and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2001. Marjorie was a 1932 graduate of Lodi High School and she and Carl had made their home on a farm near Seville for 25 years. Later she lived in Creston, Wooster and in Medina and was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Sterling. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and doing needle work.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Skip Wheeler of Medina; and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Carl Marvin Maxwell and Larry Maxwell; and a brother, Walter Marvin, Jr.
Services will be 11:30 A.M., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Murray Funeral Home, Creston, with Pastor James Rose officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until time of services on Saturday.
