Kathleen Ann Wittstock, 72, of Medina, passed into the arms of her Savior Tuesday, December 25, 2012, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was born May 13, 1940 in Warren, Ohio, to the late Ivor and Marjorie (Cope) Storry.
Kathleen taught elementary students in the Parma and Westlake School Systems and substituted for the Medina County Achievement Center. She studied organ performance at Baldwin-Wallace College and served as organist at several churches. Kathleen loved the arts, was a talented knitter, sewer and quilter and found great joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of Nelson for 45 years; loving mother of Scott (Susan) Wittstock of Columbus and Susan (William) Dalzell of Dayton; grandmother of Caroline, Liam and Owen; sister of Janice (Paul) Diehl of Austin, Texas, and Marti (Michael) Rutkowski of Florence, Kentucky. She is also survived by several cousins, including James Storry, Marilyn Miller and Linda Hunter.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, January 3, 2013. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 P.M., Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
