Terry Perzy, 73, of Ocala, Florida, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born April 22, 1942, in Cleveland.
Terry, also known as Chief, is remembered for three things in his life. His love, his honesty and his salesmanship. His devotion to his wife, Sheri and his entire family, is unmatched. When people talk about him, their first words are, “He loved his family and he loved life”. His cardiologist, Dr. Rao, recalled, “He lived his life exactly the way he wanted to live.” Nobody ever wondered what his opinions were – his honesty was a pillar of his personality.
Terry loved so much that our world offered. He loved to make a deal, he loved to win a bet, he loved to laugh. He loved being surrounded with his wide circle of friends. Everything he did in his nearly 74 years, was done with gusto. He packed his life with action. He will be fondly remembered for his big heart and ability to make every undertaking fun. When he proposed to his wife, he promised her life would never have a dull moment. He lived up to that promise time and time again. Each minute he lived to the fullest and couldn’t wait for the next one, so much so that he loved to say they named the impatiens flower after him.
Chief is survived by his wife and Princess, Sheri; his daughter, Kim Urig (Chris); his sons, Doug (Lisa) and Dave (Mindy), as well as four grandchildren, Libby, Maddy, Louie and Layla and his granddog, Wrigley. He is also survived by his sister, Denise Gerspacher (Larry); brother, Dale (Suzanne) and brother-in-law, Bill Donnet. His memory lives on in them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Gertrude and his sister, Marlene Donnet.
His wishes were that we celebrate his life, not mourn his passing. A celebration of his life will be held at Golden Hills Clubhouse, 4782 NW 80th Ave., Ocala, FL 34482 on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2 P.M.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Heart Association.
