Norman “Junior” Brant, of Medina, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Brookdale Senior Living in Medina. Junior was born and raised in Garret, Pennsylvania, moving to Medina in 1955 and was a lifelong resident ever since. He was an employee of General Motors in Parma, where he retired after 42 years of service.
Junior was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Oretta (Hoer) Brant; his wife of 39 years, Jennie (Crisafi) Brant and brother, Carl Brant.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Jay (Carla) Brant and Rich (Carla) Brant and daughter, Kelly Sumodi; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren and three great-step grandchildren; three sisters, Ginny Arnold, Shirley Varchetti, Gerry Stahl and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral Service will be 11 A.M., Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City, with Pastor Bobby Wheeler officiating. Calling hours are 5 until 9 P.M., Monday, March 28, at the funeral home and Tuesday, 10 until 11 A.M., prior to the service. Burial will be at York Township Cemetery in Mallet Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
