Gayla Dockery (Calvert), 61, of Wadsworth, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at Wadsworth Pointe. She was born April 23, 1954 in Medina, to the late David Calvert and Alene Calvert (Freeman).
Earlier in her life, Gayla was a paramedic. She was a beloved sister, mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gayla is survived by her two sons, Eric Dockery (Amber) and Aaron Dockery (Lena); six grandchildren, Kaelynn, Akira, Malik, Jensen, Asher and Gillian Dockery; her sisters, Delena Watwood, Ellarea Dickson and Cherie Coaly and brother, David Calvert, Jr.
In addition to her parents, Gayla was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Craig Calvert.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 4, 2016, at Freedom Baptist Church, 2161 Fixler Road, Medina, at 11 A.M., with a meal to follow.
