Thomas Kucera, 43, of Medina, passed away suddenly Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Thomas was born January 21, 1972 in Parma, to Frank and Mirka (nee Hajkova) Kucera. Thomas had been a lifelong Lorain County resident.
He was a 1990 graduate of Midview High School and was employed as an electrician with ALCOA in Cleveland since 1998. Thomas enjoyed helping on the family farm, fishing and camping. The most important part of his life was spending time with his children.
Thomas is survived by his children, Mikaela, Nikolas, Jessika and Lukas Kucera; his parents, Frank and Mirka Kucera of Medina; brothers, Mark (Melissa) and Frank Kucera, both of Medina; his nieces and nephews, Emily Tilley (nee Kucera) and Allison of Grafton and Madison, Mason and Maxwell Kucera of Medina and mother of the children, Jennifer Kucera (nee Vesely) of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Monica Kucera; an aunt, Mary Jemelka and his great-grandmother, Maria Hajkova.
The Funeral Mass will begin at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City. The Reverend Thomas Dunphy will officiate. Closing Prayer Service will be 11:30 A.M., Saturday in the funeral home. Calling hours are 4 to 8 P.M., Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. Burial will be in Greenhoe Cemetery, Liverpool Township.
