Cox_FranMary Frances “Fran” Cox, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Ft. Myers, Florida. She was active and healthy until the Lord called her home. She was born December 3, 1929, to Faye and Vernice Sell in Alliance, Ohio.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn; daughter, Amy Yurick and sister, Marge Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Guenther of Gastonia, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Michelle Cox of Westfield Center; grandchildren, Joe, Michael, Paul, Craig, Jr., Justin, Jason, Gregory and Jarett; great-grandchildren, Camden, Blake and Katie; brother, Chuck Sell of Dayton; sister-in-law, Corinne Bacher; loving cousins and nieces and nephews.
Fran was an elementary school teacher for 30 years at Reimer Elementary School in Akron. Upon her retirement, she and Lynn moved to Cape Coral and many years later Fran moved to Ft. Myers.
She will be missed by her dear Florida friends, with whom she shared a full and happy retirement playing Bridge, Mahjong and going to the movies. She was an avid reader and created many beautiful counted cross stitch needlework pictures. She was always working on a crossword puzzle, word search or 500-piece puzzle. She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Cape Coral, where she had many special friends.
Private family services will be handled by Bacher Funeral Home in Norton, Ohio, 330-825-3633. Her final resting place will be next to Lynn at Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn, Ohio.
