Winifred “Winnie” Pauline Wolf, 90, of Wadsworth, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. She was born July 8, 1925, in Wadsworth, to the late Lee and Myrtle Thompson.
Mrs. Wolf was a member of Seville Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Wadsworth High School, Class of 1943. Winnie was a great baker of pies, known for her fish fries and hot sauce and enjoyed having people at her home. Her greatest love was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Clyde; her daughter, Diana McClelland and granddaughter, Emily Ann.
Winnie is survived by her children, Peggy (David) Snyder of Sharon Twp., Ray (Dawn) Wolf and Janie (David) Parish, all of Wadsworth; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill (Ethel) Thompson, Robert (Barbara) Thompson, Richard (Pauline) Thompson, Harold (Donna) Thompson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 A.M., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth, with The Reverend James L. Singleton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 A.M., Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Winnie’s name to First Christian Church.
