Doris Marie Huttinger, 83, of Valley City, passed away, peacefully surrounded by her family. Doris was born December 8, 1931, in Valley City, to the late Henry and Anna Foecking. She resided in Valley City all her life.
Doris graduated from MB Johnson School of Nursing as a registered nurse and worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital and Shangri La Nursing Home. She was an active member of St. Martin of Tours.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Robert, married September 26, 1953; her children, Michael (Sally) Huttinger of Wooster, Susan (John) Millward of Valley City and Steven (Karrie) Huttinger of Litchfield; grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan and Allyson Huttinger, Matthew and Michael Millward and Nicholas and Kyle Huttinger.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Hank and Clyde Foecking; a sister, Eileen Mirka and grandson, Kevin Huttinger.
Calling hours are 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 P.M., Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 6, 2015, 10 A.M., at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, with the Reverend Thomas Dunphy as the Celebrant. Burial is at St. Martin Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the St. Martin Building Fund or Hospice of Medina County.
