Kim Charbonneau Thorne, 59, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family and loved ones after an eight year battle with breast cancer. She was born August 11, 1955, to Dennis and Vivian Charbonneau in Welland, Ontario, Canada.
Kim was an active member of Heartland Community Church in Medina and was a 1973 graduate of Nordonia High School. She worked over 30 years as RN/Manager with the last few years at Summa Emergency Room as an RN.
She was the proud mother of Holly Thorne Tompot (Rick), Joshua Thorne (Tonya), Jason Thorne (Michelle) and Hilary Thorne, all of Medina; grandmother to Darren, Colton, Lillian, Blake, Evan and Jolee. Kim was a loving daughter to Vivian Charbonneau and wonderful sister to Karen, James (Lisa), David (Tracey) and Kristi, all of Northeast Ohio.
Preceding her in death was her father, Dennis.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of River Styx and Rt. 18), Medina. Funeral Service will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Heartland Community Church, 3400 Weymouth Road, Medina, at 10 A.M. (please meet at the Church). Burial to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery.
