Anne Elder Masi Reed, 55, a lifelong resident of Medina, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Medina on August 24, 1959, to Charles Phillip and Nancy (Sheerlein) Masi, graduating from Medina High School in 1977.
Anne was the food service manager at Claggett Middle School and an active member of the Medina United Church of Christ, Congregational. In her spare time, she enjoyed yoga, entering (often winning!) contests and walks with her friends. Anne, along with her husband Steve, was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and member of the local Harley Owners Group Ladies of Harley.
Anne was the beloved wife of 26 years of Steven Allen Reed; devoted and loving mother of Kathryn Anne (Nathaniel) Ward and Steven Charles Reed and dear sister of Vincent (Vickie) Masi and Samuel (Roberta) Masi, with their children Samantha and Jacob Masi.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 26, from 3 until 7 P.M., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held 4 P.M., Wednesday, May 27, at the United Church of Christ, Congregational, 217 E. Liberty St., Medina 44256. The Reverend Dr. Neal Sadler will officiate. A private family burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made, in Anne’s memory, to the UCCC Church Building Fund at the address above.
