Alice Benzin, 89, of Valley City, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was born July 30, 1925, to the late Anthony and Maryanne (nee Osowski) Kusmer in Cleveland.
Alice was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be remembered most for her devotion to her family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her adoring children, Gary Benzin, Beverly (Randy) Stark, Douglas (Deborah) Benzin, and Robert (Sandy) Benzin; her cherished grandchildren, Kimberly (Shane), Stacy (Rob), Kristin (Kory), Brett and Brandon; her treasured great-grandchildren, Alexa, Alanah, Nicholas, Kailey, Amanda, Brayden, Bellamy and Bodee; her loving brother, Richard and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; daughter, Denise and her sisters, Emily, Irene, Eleanore, Florence, and Helen.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 6, 2015, from 4 until 8 P.M., at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, March 7, at 10 A.M., at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, OH 44280, with Father Tom Dunphy as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
