Coleman_MarilynMarilyn Coleman of Wooster, formerly of Medina, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, February 28, 2015. Marilyn was born on March 5, 1932 in Akron, to the late Theron D. and Evva Belle Johnson and married Ansel “Bud” R. Coleman on May 6, 1950 in Cleveland.

Marilyn was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker for many years. After her children left the home she worked at the family business and later at Plasti-Pak Packaging in Medina, where she was the manager of quality control. She took great pride in her work, approaching every task with enthusiasm and determination.

Marilyn’s most sincere passion was her family history and she became an avid genealogist in her later years, successfully researching and documenting her lineage back many generations. In addition to information, she located and collected historical pictures, newspaper articles and other interesting family artifacts which she delighted in sharing with others. She most enjoyed time spent with her family, always entertaining everyone with her unique and memorable laugh.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Ansel Roe “Bud” Coleman; daughters, Debbie Bican (Donald) of Chippewa Lake and Jane Paytosh of Burbank; daughter-in-law, Michelle Coleman of Dearborn; grandchildren, Michael Paytosh of Lorain, Dawn Paytosh of Berea, Cara Coleman of Parma, Cathleen Miglietti (Andrew) of Dearborn and Connor Coleman of Akron; great-grandchildren, Jacob Ramsdell of Chippewa Lake, Austin Paytosh of Berea, Aidan Polansky of Medina and Evelyn Miglietti of Dearborn; one niece and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Charles Coleman; grandson, Lucas Ramsdell; sisters; Frances Fowles and Ruth Trabert.

The family would like to thank LifeCare Hospice of Wayne County workers and volunteers for their compassionate care and also Marilyn’s loyal friends, Tom DeNomme, Jerry and Bernice Pick who were so very gracious with their time, helping to make her final days peaceful.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5 to 7:30 P.M. and are welcome to attend a memorial service immediately following calling hours at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
