William Joseph Bihn

Bihn_WilliamWilliam Joseph Bihn, 49, of York Township, passed suddenly into his heavenly home, Friday, February 20, 2015, due to an auto accident. Bill was born May 31, 1965 in Medina, to the late John and Patricia (nee Bell) Bihn. He was a lifelong Medina County resident.

Bill was a 1983 graduate of Buckeye High School, where he had been an active member of the Future Farmers of America. Bill has been a steward of the land all of his life. He loved watching and supporting his children in their activities with the Buckeye High School band and choir.

Bill was very active sharing his love of his church, St. Martin of Tours, Valley City. He was a lector, Eucharistic minister and was well known at the ticket table for the chicken and ham dinners.

Bill delivered newspapers for many years. First was USA Today, The Post, Medina Gazette and currently, he was delivering the Plain Dealer. Bill also delivered pizzas for Dominos in Medina, and was currently delivering for Pizza Hut on State Route 18, East of Medina. Bill was an avid hunter. The loves of his life were farming and his family.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Karen (nee Wetmore) married June 25, 1994; his children, Ethan and Sarah; sister, Margaret “Peggy” Berger of Litchfield; brother, Donald “Don” Bihn (Christine) of Kentucky; uncle to Joseph, David, Elizabeth, Katherine and John Berger, Daniel “Dan” Bihn and Frances “Kay” Lucas (Eldon) and brother-in-law of Kenneth Wetmore of Spencer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bob” Bihn, 2003; in-laws, Glen and Beatrice (nee Suter) Wetmore and brothers-in-law, Keith Wetmore, 2010 and Kevin Wetmore 1997.

Family and friends are asked to please meet at the church for the Funeral Mass at 11 A.M., Thursday, February 26, 2015, at St. Martin of Tours, 1800 Station Road, Valley City, Ohio. The Reverend Thomas Dunphy will officiate. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, February 25, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 9 P.M., at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. Burial will be at St. Martin Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made, in Bill’s name, to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
