Carl W. Pakish, 47, loving husband and father, of Ashland, passed away Friday morning, February 6, 2015 in Samaritan Hospital. He was born January 26, 1968, to the late Carl E. and Juliann (nee Majesky) Pakish in Medina.
Carl graduated from Black River High School, class of 1986. Following his graduation, he went on to further his education, earning an Associate’s Degree in automotive repair from University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima.
He married the love of his life, the former Linda Shearer on June 27, 1987. Carl worked at Reiter Dairy in Barberton for more than 19 years as a driver. Carl enjoyed Rock and Roll music and played the guitar. He was a lifetime Union supporter and a member of local 348 Teamsters. Carl also loved his two canine companions, Biscuit and Chloe. In the last few years, Carl has assembled models planes in his spare time.
Carl is survived by his wife of 27 years of marriage, Linda Pakish of Ashland; daughter, Caitlin Pakish, at home; sons, Carl (fiancee Jessica Warstler) Pakish of Massillon and Craig Pakish of Dayton; sisters, Kathy (Arthur) Myers of Lodi and Maryann (Jim) Clement of Spencer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Shearer of Apple Creek and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11 A.M., in the Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, with Pastor Christopher Cottrel officiating. Interment will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 A.M., on Wednesday.
